Modify, design and develop solar fridge for use on camels
Working alongside CHAT to develop and design solar fridge to house vaccinations for distribution to remote Samburu and Turkana communities in northern Kenya.
The solar fridge, which is mounted on the saddle of the camels, will be an integral part of giving these communities the opportunity to vaccinate their children against the most basic of childhood diseases. Kupenda projects’ continues to provide advice and research to the CHAT board on the development of the solar fridge project.
Built customised medicine boxes carried by camels.
These customised boxes were designed after meeting with field staff to determine a suitable stacking draw system that reduces breakages and increase stock take efficiencies. This small but necessary improvement to medicine boxes provides a better service to the patients with a more organised medicine dispensary.
