How to make a great kupenda coffee at home......

Grind

The first tip to the best home coffee experience is to purchase a grinder. If you treat yourself to a burr grinder you will really be able to get the best out of your freshly roasted coffee beans.

But if you don't have a grinder than don't fret - Kupenda will grind it for you to suit your brew style.

Storage

There are many different theories on the storage of roasted coffee so really you need to form a habit that suits your lifestyle.

Your Kupenda coffee comes in a durable bag with a one way leaf valve to allow the beans to de-gas without letting any nasty oxygen in. Coffee's biggest enemy is oxygen followed by moisture, light and heat.

The rule of thumb we use when it comes to storing Kupenda coffee is:

  • If you are buying enough to last you a week than you should leave the bag in a cool cupboard away from direct light and heat.
  • If you are buying your monthly supply than leave the coffee in the Kupenda bag, then put the whole lot in an airtight container inside your freezer. This will prevent any moisture getting into the coffee. When you want to use the coffee simply scoop out enough for the amount you will use than let it thaw for a few minutes before you grind or use.

These little tips will help you get the best out of your Kupenda coffee.
